Six outsiders assaulted in Nongstoin

NONGSTOIN: Six non-local residents were allegedly assaulted by unidentified miscreants in various parts of Nongstoin on Friday morning.
The first case of assault occurred near Anderson School in Upper New Nongstoin when two non-locals were roughed up while they were walking on the road. The duo, however, managed to escape with minor injuries.
Another incident was reported near Nonbah Bridge where a non-local was assaulted in public by unknown miscreants. 
A third incident was reported from Nongstoin Market when a non-local person who arrived in Nongstoin in a tourist taxi was slapped by some people but the miscreants fled on seeing some traffic police personnel.
Around 4 pm another case of assault was reported in Nongstoin.
Eyewitnesses informed that three non-locals were walking on the road when they were attacked by some miscreant. They, however, managed to escape with minor injuries only.
When contacted, Nongstoin Police denied knowledge of the assault cases saying they had not received any complaint.
