Curfew affects NIOS candidates

SHILLONG: The SSA and other categories of teachers who are going to appear for Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) exams on Friday and Saturday are facing problem due to the curfew.
In the regard, the office bearers of the Meghalaya SSA School Association in East Khasi Hills, led by its general secretary Brightstarwell Kharsohnoh, met Deputy Commissioner PS Dkhar. The DC assured to do the needful for the safety of the teachers.
Dkhar added that he would inform the magistrate to allow the teachers.
The exam is being conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling and the timing is 2.30 pm to 5:30 pm.
