Moot court competition held at NEHU

SHILLONG: The North-Eastern Hill University Second National Moot Court Competition, 2018 which was organised by Department of Law, NEHU, concluded on Saturday with the valedictory ceremony.
Amit Kumar, Advocate General attended the event as the chief guest along with JS Patil, Vice Chancellor, NLUJAA Guwahati as the guest of honour.
The Inaugural ceremony was held on October 4 in the presence of Law Minister James P K Sangma and Justice (Retd). BD Agarwal, President, Nagaland State Consumer Commission.
In this year’s competition, the moot problem was based on corporate and company law.
A total of 18 institutes comprising law colleges and universities from across the country participated in the event.
Chanakya National Law University, Patna emerged as the winners of this year’s competition followed by runner’s up Amity Law School, Kolkata.
