Five injured in weekend accidents

SHILLONG: Five persons, including a seven-year-old girl, were injured in separate accidents in the weekends.
Two persons, Lasiewdor Mawrie (7) and Sikkim Mawrie (45), were injured when the jeep they were travelling in was hit by an SPTS bus at Lad Umsaw around 2pm on Sunday. Both sustained major injuries and were shifted to Bhoirymbong CHC by 108 Ambulance after first aid.
A teenager was injured in another accident at Ryndangbriew. Adrian Syiemlieh (19) lost control while riding a scooter that skidded around 3.30 pm on Sunday. He sustained chest injury and was shifted to NEIGRIHMS by 108 Shillong Civil base ambulance. Jobinstar Lyngdoh (23) sustained injuries after a car hit the bike he was riding at Pynthorbah around 11.42 pm on Saturday. He was shifted to Civil Hospital by 108 Ambulance after first aid.Dashindra Marak (43) was hit by a bike when he was walking on the road side at 3rd Mile in Upper Shillong around 5.30 pm on Saturday. He sustained bruises, spasm with minor injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong.
