TURA: As part of the Winter Festival which is being held every year in Baghmara, the District Administration of South Garo Hills will be organizing a two day Tyisam Festival on December 13 and 14.
‘Tyisam’, which means “A river side” in Attong dialect, will be held as usual at Simsang Beach Baghmara and the two day programme will include Rock concert featuring Black Jack, Shammy & Friends and other local bands from Baghmara. Besides, Water Sports and Traditional Games, Dance Competition, Singing, Fancy Dress Competition, Cooking Competition and Baby show will also be a part of the two day programme.
Unlike previous years, new and exciting events like Talent Hunt and Fashion Show will be the added attraction of the festival this year.
As part of the Pre-Tyisam Festival some of the events like kite flying competition are also being held this whole week which is being organized jointly by the Baghmara Officer’s Club and Akim Saldora Society, Baghmara.
