One killed, 14 injured in separate accidents
On April 20 around 3.30 pm, an accident took place between one dumper truck (AS-25BC-9625) and a scooty (AS-01-DV-7827) ridden by Subrodip Dev (20) at 8th Mile, Khanapara, Ri Bhoi. As a result, scooty rider died on the spot while one pillion rider sustained injuries and was shifted to GNRC, Guwahati for treatment. Cadaver was sent to CH Nongpoh for PM examination. After the incident, the trucker fled.
On April 21 around 5 pm, one Maruti van (ML-10-8239) met with an accident at Lumdiengngan, Shillong By-pass Road, Ri Bhoi. As a result, eleven occupants sustained injuries and were shifted to CHC Bhoirymbong for treatment.
On April 19 around 4 pm, one Mahindra Pick-up (ML-09A-7904) driven by Rahul Koch (22) met with an accident near Magurmari village, South West Garo Hills. As a result, two occupants sustained injuries and were shifted to CH Ampati and CH Tura respectively.
Pillan T Sangma of Pynthorumkhrah, Shillong lodged a complaint that on April 16 around 8.45 pm, one scooty (ML-10A-1073) ridden by Sanjay Sukula hit the complainant and fled away.

Woman’s body found
On April 20 around 7.40 pm, body of Mousomi Khatun was found hanging in her residence at Tellergram village, South West Garo Hills. Necessary formalities were observed and the cadaver sent to CH Ampati for PM examination.

Man caught red-handed
Lambok Kurbah of 3rd Mile, Upper Shillong lodged a complaint that on April 21 around 4 am, Raja Kurbah was caught red handed while he was stealing rods from a construction site at Mawpah, Lumphyrnai, Shillong.

Woman assaulted
On April 21, Rapbor Makdoh assaulted his elder sister Wanbiang Makdoh in her house at Nongkya village, Ri Bhoi.

Car tapes, cell phones stolen
Tyron Singh Syiem lodged a complaint that on April 21 around 2.30 pm, miscreants broke into his vehicle which was parked on the roadside at Mawlai Nonglum, Shillong and stole one car tape and two mobile phones.

Racial slur
Meghna Das lodged a complaint that on April 21 between 3 pm to 3.30 pm, a lady shopkeeper/owner of a bakery at Laban Howel Road opposite SBI Laban Branch, Shillong assaulted the complainant and also passed racist comments against her.

Miscreants steal two-wheelers
Jordan Mynsong Maw-U-Sib, Shillong lodged a complaint that on April 20 between 6.30 pm to 8 pm miscreants stole his scooty (ML-05P-4962) from his residence.
Khrawkupar Thabah of Pynthorbah Block-I, Shillong lodged a complaint that on April 20 around 3 am, miscreants stole his motorcycle (AS-01B-3099) from his residential compound.
On April 15 night, miscreants stole one motorcycle (AS-01IZ-0676) belonging to Yugal Kishore Singh from Anogre village, West Garo Hills.

Break-in
Deeya Singh Tathore of Upper Lachumiere, Shillong lodged a complaint that on April 20 around 6 pm, one unidentified man trespassed into her residence and when her husband chased him, he fled away.
Rica Amanda Kharjana of Mawlai Mawiong Umjapung, Shillong lodged a complaint that on April 17 around 3.40 pm, miscreants broke into her residence and ransacked it from where some clothes were later found missing.

One held for wallet-snatching
Pulak Das of Bongara, Kamrup, Assam lodged a complaint that on April 20 around 4 pm, one unidentified person snatched his wallet containing Service ID Card, SBI ATM Card, PAN Card and Rs. 10,000 cash at Police Bazar. In this connection, police arrested a man identified as Suraj.

Man beaten up, robbed
Rijay Sohmat of Phlangwanbroi, Mawsynram in East Khasi Hills lodged a complaint that on April 20 around 11.30 pm, while he was on his way from Iewduh towards Laitumkhrah, Shillong unidentified men assaulted him and also snatched his mobile phone, Rs. 28,000 cash and other items.

Fire incident
On the night of April 19, fire broke out at Thadmuthlong village, West Jaintia Hills in which one tea-stall belonging to Neymar Lyngdoh was completely gutted.

Sports items stolen
Gunin Changmai of Sports Authority of India NEHU Campus, Shillong lodged a complaint that on April 19, miscreants broke into the storeroom and stole some sporting items.

Man held with heroin
On April 18, Police apprehended Kornelius Khardewsaw (25) from Mawshong Khyndew village, West Khasi Hills and recovered 13.66 grams of suspected heroin from his possession.

One held for assault
Regina Hinge lodged a complaint that on April 18 around 3 pm, her brother Lakhon Hinge assaulted and threatened her with dire consequences at Nangbah, Iawmusiang, West Jaintia Hills. Police arrested the accused.

One apprehended with copper pipes
Ayekpam Aramjit Singh (38) lodged a complaint that on April 18 around 7.20 am, Kulbir Singh of Golf Links, Shillong was apprehended from NEIGRIHMS Campus and from his possession recovered some copper pipes.

Man attacked
Ambia Begum of Mawbah, Shillong lodged a complaint that on April 17 around 8 pm, one person identified as Bahdeng quarreled with her son Nawaz Siddiqui and hit him with a bottle causing injuries to him.

Extortion
A member of AHAM, Tura (West Garo Hills) lodged a complaint that on April 3, members of ADE led by Dalseng Bira Ch Momin extorted Rs. 1,000 each from the drivers of dumper trucks and threatened them with dire consequences.
Masdin B Marak lodged a complaint that on April 3, members of AHAM in two Bolero vehicles (ML-08-8877 & ML-08-8899) forcibly stopped their truck in Jengjal area (WGH) and demanded Rs. 3,000 from each truck and threatened them with dire consequences.
