New Delhi: With pressure on the Modi 2.0 government to deliver on poll promises, all the ministries have been directed to create dashboards on key target areas so that citizens are informed of the progress report.
Multiple sources in various ministries told IANS that a directive in this regard has come from Cabinet Secretary Pradeep Kumar Sinha.
“There are key target areas which have been identified. These targets have to be achieved in the next 100 days of the government,” an official said.
The 100-days target started from July 5, the day Union Budget was presented, and ends on October 15.
Some of the 100-days targets include filling up of 300,000 vacancies in institutes of higher education, efficient grievance redressal system and launching of national e-services delivery assessment.
“There are various targets. There are 100-days target, one year target, mid-year targets and five-year targets. The Secretaries are being called by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) to give specific target and achievements,” another official in a key ministry said.
The Modi government has identified 167 transformative ideas across various areas which have to be implemented in a time-bound manner. These ideas, if implemented, would bring visible change and make meaningful difference in the life of ordinary citizens.
The proposed dashboards would give real-time information such as farmers benefitted by PM-KISAN scheme, beneficiaries of various central schemes, length of road constructed in rural areas among others.
Given the directive from the highest level to various ministries, even some of the government agencies have readied themselves for providing data instantly on demand. (IANS)
