JOWAI: The JSU on Thursday asked the Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner to immediately dismantle the illegal check gate setup by police on NH-44 in Byndihati village under Khliehriat Subdivision. JSU said police personnel deputed there had illegally collected money from truckers. Police sources, however, clarified that the check gate set up at Byndihati was an infiltration check gate.
