Clarification
Apropos to the news item published in The Shillong Times on May 10, the Khasi Hills Tourist Taxi Association has clarified that the executive members of the association are not aware of any election being held for the for the formation of a new executive body and the existing body is still in office. According to the general secretary of the KHTTA, no resolution has been taken to use the Polo parking lot, adding no meeting of the general body of the KHTTA has been held to elect any new executive body.
