Roseau (Dominica): India’s World Cup winning captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni turned 30 on Thursday with family, team-mates and supporters greeting him on the occasion.

Dhoni celebrated his birthday with wife Sakshi, friends from India and team-mates at the Indian team’s plush sea-side resort here.

The “captain cool” had a brief celebration as the team left early for the ground for the second day’s play of the third and final Test in Windsor Park.

It has been learnt that Dhoni would have a more elaborate celebration at the team hotel after the second day’s play.

Dhoni, who is playing his 57th Test match, is now 52 runs short of completing 3000 runs in the longer version of the game while he has scored 6049 runs in 186 ODIs. (PTI)
