Shillong: Three contestants of the NE Highway Star — Tina Collette Thangkhiew (Meghalaya), Samuel Thapa and Geetu Thapa (Dimapur), who could make it to the next round following their failure to get requisite number of votes, have got another chance to stay in contention.

The trio were given a chance to stay in the show as the judges felt that despite the fact that they couldn’t gather much votes, but they have the ability to do much better in the coming round.

According to the State Co-coordinator, Commander Shangpliang, the songs of all the 8 contestants (6 are from Meghalaya) were recorded again along with those three on July 8.
