London: Argentina international Sergio Agüero has showed interest in replacing his national team mate Carlos Tevez at Manchester City.

The 23-year-old Atletico Madrid striker is being seen by City as the ideal replacement for Carlos Tevez, who is likely to move to Brazilian club Corinthians.

Agüero, who has a release clause of 38 million pounds in his contract at Atletico, said he sees the opportunity as his only chance to move to England as his future lies away from Atletico. The striker has also been linked to a move to Atletico’s Madrid rivals Real. “I have made clear in my statement that I do not see myself at Atletico,”Agüero said. (Agencies)
