IMPHAL: An assistant engineer from Doordarshan’s Imphal office got drowned at a village pond in Imphal East district of Manipur, police said here on Wednesday.W Rosinikumar, 55, got drowned while trying to catch fishes at a pond along with his friend Inaoba Singh at Heingang area on Monday.Earlier reports had said that Rosinikumar’s body was found in a village pond and the cause of death was not known.After investigation, police said the official drowned in the pond.
