Breakdown in BSNL network irks customers

 SHILLONG: The frequent breakdown in the mobile network of the BSNL has irked many of its customers especially in Shillong city.

Many of the BSNL customers have complained that they are not able to make calls due to congestion in the network.

It is learnt that the BSNL customers residing in Rynjah and Nongthymmai areas are having a tough time since they are not able to make calls from their mobile.

According to the BSNL customers, messages like ‘Connection Error’ or ‘The subscriber is not reachable’, are common even when the person is very much within Shillong city limits. Some areas are more out of range of the BSNL towers than others.

Not only this, when they try to call people using another service provider, one has to dial at least five, six and even ten times before getting the connection which is frustrating.

However, the BSNL officials were not available to comment on this breakdown in the mobile network.

When contacted, General Manager Telecom District of Meghalaya George S Marshall did not pick up his mobile.
