New Delhi: Delhi-based designer Jatin Varma will showcase a collection inspired by red carpet glamour at the Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Winter-Festive 2011, scheduled Aug 16-21 in Mumbai.

“Besides being uber sexy and glam, this season the models will also be fiercely independent, confident and street smart, just like the Paparazzi the collection is named after,” said Varma.

The collection will feature a mix of floor hugging gowns, edgy dresses, trousers, feminine skirts and tops. Embellishments like sequins and lace on silk, chiffons and net fabric will be the high point of the entire range.

A combination of structured, fitted pieces in hues like dull golds, old rose, forest greens, deep sea greens, off whites with elements of black will accentuate the entire line.

Varma’s designs have recently been seen worn by the likes of actor Hrithik Roshan’s wife Suzanne, socialite Queenie Singh and actress Jacqueline Fernandes in several fashion magazines.

Hollywood actresses like Brittany Snow, Tichina Arnold and Janell Snowden were also seen wearing his red carpet looks.

The designer will showcase his collection on the second day of the fashion week. (IANS)
