SHILLONG: Come Wednesday and all roads in the ‘Rock Capital of India’ would lead to Madan Iewrynghep (Fire Brigade ground) where the winners of the MTV Rock On 2010 (Desi Beats) and presently the ‘Best Rock Band in India’, Divine Connection will enthrall the Shillongites with their renditions.

Divine Connection’ will be performing in a concert organised by the Ao Students’ Union, Shillong, as part of their silver jubilee celebrations which they will celebrate later this year.

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, band members of Divine Connection said the group will be belting out some of its original songs which have been recorded in their first album and some more which they will be recording for their second album.

The band during its performance here would also play some popular Bollywood numbers in their own version to please the huge crowd which is expected to turn out for the event.

It may be mentioned that the band had earlier performed in Shillong. However, it would be their first show after being crowned as the ‘Best Rock Band in India’ last year at the MTV show.

Divine Connection is Nagaland’s seasoned Christian rock band which was formed in 2004 and initially it started with gospel songs but gradually progressed into playing varied blend of rock music fused with jazz and funk.

During the concert, Shillongites would also enjoy performance by Axis band from Assam and Street Stories from Shillong who will go all out with their loud variation of music to enthrall the music crazy fans of Shillong.
