Vehicles damaged as truck dashes against them

 SHILLONG: Three vehicles including a Shillong Public Transport Services (SPTS) bus were damaged when a truck loaded with rice packets dashed aginst these vehicles near Mawlai Phudmuri at around 5.30 pm on Saturday.

It is known that the driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Police sources informed that the truck was coming from FCI towards Mawlai Mawiong.

“The truck was driven rashly and negligently whereby on reaching Mawlai Phumuri, the truck driver lost control and dashed against two local Maruti Taxis”, Police sources informed.

However, no one was injured in the accident and the truck driver, S Marwein was handed over to the Lumdiengjri Traffic Branch.
