One dead in road mishap

SHILLONG: One person died while nineteen others sustained serious injuries when a bus (MLO5D – 0908) on its way to Shillong from Tih Nongbah overturned at 6 ½ Mile, Upper Shillong on Wednesday evening. The deceased has been identified as Landing Marbaning (28), of Lyngai Lyngkhoi. The driver of the bus Morning Star Ranee was arrested for negligent driving, police informed. The injured were shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital for treatment.
