Arctic Monkeys to take break from recording music
London: British rockers Arctic Monkeys are taking a break from recording music until 2013. The band, who released their fourth album, “Suck It And See” June, this year and are currently on the world tour to promote the record, will be taking a studio hiatus for at least 18 months. “I don’t really write on the road any more. We come up with a few ideas on soundchecks and that but I have written too many terrible lyrics touring around. As yet there is no plan to return to the studio next year, we’re keeping our heads down,” contactmusic.com quoted Frontman Alex Turner as saying. “We’ve always been thinking about the next move. For now we’re just focused on the touring,”he added. (IANS)
DiCaprio, Lively to move in together?
London: Actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Blake Lively are said to be thinking of moving in together to prove their commitment to each other. “Leo and Blake are really happy right now. They’ve been discussing their future, and that includes creating a home together. Leo told Blake that she can trust him,” contactmusic.com quoted a source as saying. DiCaprio who has previously dated supermodel Gisele Bundchen and catwalk beauty Bar Refaeli wants to prove his commitment to Lively by moving in with her. “He’s actually really taken with her and wants her to know that he’s committed and not going anywhere,” the source added. Fan gifts gold bracelet to Anushka
New Delhi: It had to be no less than gold for his golden girl! When Nayab Shaikh, a 21-year-old fan of Anushka Sharma, met his favourite actress, he brought a gold bracelet as a gift for her. Mumbai-based Shaikh was a lucky Anushka fan who got to meet her and live her life for a day through UTV Stars’ “Live My Life!”. At the end of the episode, to be aired Sunday, the young boy gave Anushka the gold bracelet that he had bought some time back in the hope that he would meet her some day. Even though Anushka accepted it at that moment, she blessed it with love and handed it back to Shaikh to gift it to his future lady love. While living Anushka’s life, Shaikh got an insight into things like her dislike for fruits, love for Japanese food, love for intensive weight training sessions at the gym and more. (IANS)
Madonna takes beau on French ride
Paris: Pop diva Madonna was spotted enjoying some quality time with her rumoured boyfriend Brahim Zaiba in France. The pop queen, 52, was seen giving her dancer lover a ride on a jet ski in the south of France, while Zaiba, 24, held tightly, reports mirror.co.uk. Madonna’s 14-year-old daughter Lourdes also joined the couple on holiday. She spent the day soaking up the rays and taking dips in the water. Madonna and Zaiba later went for dinner together. (IANS)
Olivia Wilde to star in Chemistry
London: Actress Olivia Wilde is reportedly set to replace Jennifer Garner in Better Living Through Chemistry. Wilde is believed to be in negotiations to star in the dark comedy thriller, which had originally lined up Garner, before she recently became pregnant with her third child. The movie tells the story of a prudish pharmacist – who will be played by Sam Rockwell – stuck in a love-less marriage, who starts having an affair with a female customer who takes him on a whirlwind ride of sex, drugs and possibly murder when they begin plotting to kill her husband. Dame Judi Dench is in line to be the film’s narrator and Michelle Monaghan will play Sam’s onscreen wife. (IANS)
Holmes gets tattoo on her wrist
New York: Actress Katie Holmes has been spotted with a chain tattoo on her left wrist while holidaying in California. Holmes was pictured arriving at Digital Domain Studios in California Aug 25, sporting a design of two chains running around her left wrist, reports femalefirst.co.uk. However, it is unclear whether the etching is a permanent inking or a temporary Henna tattoo. It was reportedly said that the 32-year-old got her inspiration to have a tattoo by her husband Tom Cruise as she recently praised his body which has been covered in fake inkings for his role as musician Stacee Jaxx in Rock of Ages, which he is currently shooting. “His body looks great and I’m so excited for him playing this character,” said Holmes. Melbourne: Former glamour model Katie Price is set to launch her magazine called “Katie Price”. The mother-of-three turned into chief editor, writer and picture editor for her magazine. The first issue of the magazine gives a peak into her wardrobe, a “Jordan makeover” of her friends and a tell-all interview about her love life, reports news.com.au. “This is a chance to get my opinions across. I’m the chief editor, writer and picture editor so I’ve written all the features and chosen the photos myself,” Price said of the magazine. (IANS)
