Itanagar: The All Arunachal Contractors Welfare Association has urged the state government to institute an inquiry into various anamolies while implementing the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana in remote pockets of Kurung Kumey district.

Claiming “total failure” of the contracting firm and executing agency in implementing the RGGVY, the AACWA asked the state authorities to institute an inquiry into the matter and punish the guilty. “Even after the lapse of three years since RGGVY contract work was alloted in two separate packages amounting to over Rs 15 crore for Chambang-Gangte and Palin-Yangte circles, not a single pole has yet been erected though the work had to be completed within the stipulated period of 17 months,” the AACWA claimed in a complaint lodged with the state Power minister Setong Sena on Monday.
