Restriction in movement of vehicles

 SHILLONG: In order to facilitate smooth movement of vehicles and pedestrians , the Inspector general of police(ER), Meghalaya has imposed following restrictions on movement of vehicles in the entie eastern region.

A press release issued here in this regard on Saturday stated that coal laden trucks originating from West Khasi Hills, Jaintia Hills will not be allowed to proceed to Shillong from October 3rd to 6th, 2011.

Coal /limestone laden trucks originating from Sohra Civil Sub-division will not be allowed to proceed to Shillong from October 3rd to 6th.

Moreover, Empty coal trucks originating from Assam cannot enter Ri-Bhoi distyrict with effect from October 3rd to 6th.
