Four girls flee from Delhi observation home
NEW DELHI: Four minor girls escaped from an observation home in west Delhi, police said Monday.The girls, aged between 14 to 16, escaped early Sunday, eluding the security guards posted at Nirmal Chhaya complex, the observation home, at Hari Nagar.Police said the authorities informed them of the escape almost 24 hours later.”We came to know about the incident Monday when the authorities approached us after they failed to locate the girls,” said a police officer.Three of the girls were orphans and one was in conflict with law, police said.Police have registered a case against authorities of Nirmal Chhaya, which helps in rehabilitation of children in conflict with law and those requiring protection and care, by providing vocational training and restoration to the family. Worker killed in south Delhi
NEW DELHI: A 25-year-old worker was killed Monday while another sustained injuries after they came in contact with a high-tension electric wire while installing a hoarding in south Delhi, police said.
The deceased was identified as Mukesh Patel, a native of Faridabad in Haryana, said a police officer.”In the afternoon at around 2.40 p.m., the victims were installing a flex hoarding on the third floor of a building in Tughlaqabad Extension,” he said, adding that some illegal construction was going on in the building.A case was registered against unidentified people at Govindpuri police station, the officer said.(IANS)
