Los Angeles: Actor Kurt Russell is in talks to replace Kevin Costner in Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained after the latter opted out due to scheduling problems.

Russell is in negotiation to play antagonist Ace Woody, a German bounty hunter. The character is a sadistic trainer of male fighting slaves and of female prostitutes, hollywoodreporter.com reports.

Set in the 1800s, “Django Unchained” follows a freed slave who, under the tutelage of Ace Woody, becomes a bad bounty hunter himself.

The film also stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Samuel L. Jackson and Christoph Waltz. (IANS)
