‘Acting was a huge mistake’

Los Angeles: Chronicles Of Narnia actress Tilda Swinton thinks her career in films was a mistake as she never intended to get into acting. The 50-year-old, who won an Oscar for her role in ‘Michael Clayton’, insists she is not interested in acting and she has never had aspirations to do well in the film business, reported People magazine. “I’m really not interested in acting. Still not. And I’ve given up waiting for an epiphany of interest to strike. Acting is a red herring and a major mistake and I’m still trying to get back on track,” Swinton said. The actress also said she considers every project she does to be her last and is looking forward to retiring as soon as possible. “Every time I’m in a film, I’m determined it’s the last film I’m in and then I’ll fall into a conversation with someone and we’ll cook up a new scheme. Being part of a group has kept me in this because if I wasn’t making films I’d be by myself a lot. And basically, it’s gone on for 20 years but I’m hoping to pull it to a close shortly,” Swinton added. (PTI)

I was like, ”You can”t speak to people like that.” I can”t tolerate it,” she added. (ANI)
