Draft publication of photo electoral rolls

 JOWAI: The Electoral Registration Officer, Jaintia Hills District has notified that the draft publication of photo electoral rolls of the Assembly constituencies 1-Nartiang, 2- Jowai, 3- Raliang and 4- Mowkaiaw have been prepared in accordance with the Registration of Electoral Rules, 1960. The copy is available for inspection in the office of the Electoral Registration Officer and at each polling station during office hours.

The qualifying date for the preparation of the photo electoral roll is January 1, 2012.

Any claims for inclusion of names in the photo electoral roll or any objection to particulars in any entry should be lodged on or before November 1, 2011 in form 6, 7, 8 or 8A as may be appropriate.

Any objection or claims should be presented in the office of the Electoral Registration Officer or the Assistant Electoral Registration Officer or the designated locations or sent by post not later than the above stated date.

Meanwhile, in Shillong, the Electoral Registration Officer, 40-Bajengdoba (ST) Assembly Constituency, 39-Resubelpara (ST) Assembly Constituency and 38-Mendipathar (ST) Assembly Constituency has informed that the Electoral Roll has been prepared in accordance with the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960 and a copy thereof is available for inspection at the office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (Election) Office, Resubelpara and at the concerned Polling Stations under Resubelpara Civil Sub-Division during office hours.The qualifying date for the preparation of the electoral roll is January 1, 2012. Any claim with reference to the above date or for the inclusion of name or any objection to the inclusion of name or to particulars in any entry, should be lodged in the respective polling station between October 1 to November 1.
