TURA: The annual harvest festival of the Garos “Wangala” is once again expected to be a three day gala festival that will be mind boggling for its people and audiences from Nov 10 to 12th.
Ten dancing troupes of the Garos will be competing for the trophy of best Wangala troupe during the major event that is once again expected to draw thousands of people to the venue at Asananggre, 15 kms from Tura.
This year the three day Wangala festival is taking place from November 10th to 12th at Asananggre.
Wangala troupes will be participating from the three districts of Garo Hills, the two sub-divisional regions of Dadenggre and Ampati, last year’s winner from Sadolpara, host team from Asananggre, Selsella block, Chibragre and Agisimgre (Babadam) wangala troupe.
