SHILLONG: The rash and irresponsible driving by a driver of an Army truck (990126010k) resulted a huge traffic jam at Mawlai Iewrynghep on Tuesday evening. The Army truck, which was on its way from Guwahati, hit four vehicles including a Santro (ML-05 E 8301) and Maruti Car (ML-05 H 0155). Both the vehicles were badly damaged.Not only this, the army truck also hit a vehicle which was carrying a sick person. The person was returning from Guwahati after treatment.The Army personnel, however, blamed the other vehicles for the chaos.Several vehicles were left stranded for more than hours. The matter was settled after the arrival of the Traffic police.
