Greater Noida: Describing Lady Gaga as “very sweet”, Shah Rukh Khan said the little fan in him came out when he met the international pop star for an exclusive chat during her maiden India visit.

“It (the interaction) was very nice. She (Gaga) was very sweet. I sat with her for a couple of hours and exchanged a lot of good things about life. She is very deep, very sweet,” Shah Rukh told reporters at the red carpet of the F1 after-party here late Sunday night.

Shah Rukh wanted to collaborate with Gaga for a song for his latest release RA.One.

But the plan couldn’t materialise due to time constraints.

However, he caught up with the “Poker face” singer for a chat for UTV Bindass’ exclusive show.

The 45-year-old says he became a Gaga fan thanks to his daughter, Suhana, 11.

“My daughter is a big fan of Lady Gaga. She listens to her music and introduced me to her music, and I am also a fan of her now,” he said.

Shah Rukh came in straight from Toronto to watch the first F1 race in India here on Sunday and loved the experience.

“It was very noisy, very energetic, highly energising and very well-organised,” he said, adding that he is proud of the event.

“It’s a big occasion. It’s quite marvellous. I think we should all celebrate the fact that we had such a big event here,” he added.

Lady Gaga also promised a “special” treat for her Indian fans and didn’t she just do that! The international pop icon played the piano and matched the tunes to a sitar during her performance at the finale F1 after-party.

“Gaga’s performance was delightful. She was high on energy and the audience was extremely excited about it. The stage was grand and Gaga was in her spirits,” said a teenager who saw Gaga perform at a special 20,000 sq ft construction at the Jaypee Greens Golf and Spa Resort in Greater Noida.

The party was hosted by Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal and restaurateur A.D.Singh’s lounge-bar LAP here on Sunday night.

Gaga, who landed here Thursday night, had said at a press conference that her performance would have some Indian influence. And she kept her promise.

Dressed in a white, knee-length dress with open, blonde locks, Gaga collaborated with a sitar player to offer some fusion music to the guests. She also sang some of her popular hits as well as new songs from her latest album “Born This Way”, according to a party insider.

She ended her performance with a warm and cheerful “Namaste India”, said a source.

Prior to the performance, Arjun told reporters that Gaga had rehearsed for six hours for the show.

“We have the best performer in the house for the party! I saw her rehearsals and she has prepared the best. She has planned a nice single which she has never performed before. It’s from her new album and she especially prepared for her fans here. She will also sing with a sitar player to add some Indian element,” Arjun said before the party kicked off.

Gaga’s show was houseful despite a whopping ticket price of Rs.40,000. It was a star-studded party with actors and industrialists. Shah Rukh Khan, Anil Kapoor, Preity Zinta, Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Imran Khan to Vijay Mallya, Adi Godrej and Munjals, among others, attended the party and stayed till late. (IANS)
