Women’s organisations protest in support of Irom Sharmila in Guwahati on Wednesday. Sharmila, commonly known as the ‘Iron Lady’ completed 11 years of her fast on Wednesday. Sharmila launched her movement against Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) on November 2, 2000 after the Malom massacre, where ten people were killed by Assam Rifles personnel. (EP)
