Mysterious disease claims 3 lives in Tripura

 AGARTALA: Outbreak of a mysterious disease has claimed at least three lives at Pawanpara in North Tripura’s Kailashahar subdivision raising an alarm bell in different tribal hamlets.

Three deaths were reported from Pawanpara during the last one week and several villagers are down with fever, said Aditi Majumder, SDM who had visited the affected tribal hamlet onThursday.

The three villagers who have fallen prey to the mysterious disease include Bacharai Reang (18), Kusaram Reang (21) and Sumendra Reang (26).

Thirteen ailing villagers have been shifted to Rajiv Gandhi Memorial District Hospital at Kailashahar in critical condition.

A medial team has already reached the affected village to arrest the outbreak of mysterious disease.

“An ambulance has been stationed at Pawanpara to shift ailing villagers to the nearby hospital”, the SDM added.
