Kohima: The numerical bug seems to have caught Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio’s fancy as he has lined up a gala celebration of his 61st birthday on 11-11-11.
According to sources Rio, who took over the reins of the state soon after his 52nd birthday in 2003, will turn 61 on November 11. This particular set of numbers will reappear only after one hundred years. Sources said Rio is presently the chief minister in the 11th Nagaland Legislative Assembly, adding one more 11.
On November 11, Rio will inaugurate the newly constructed Chief Minister’s residence.
He also appears to have chosen the day for the formal inauguration at 11 hours, adding to the rarity of the occasion such as 11-11-11 at 11 hours.
Governor Nikhil Kumar has consented to formally inaugurate the newly constructed Chief Ministers’ official residence. (UNI)
