State climbers participate in Natl meet

 SHILLONG: Four rock climbers from the Meghalaya Rock Climbing and Mountaineering Association (MRCMA) participated in the 17th National Sport Climbing Competition recently held at the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) Campus, New Delhi from November 3-6. In the Men’s category, Lakitbok Lyngdoh (MRCMA) competed in the “Bouldering Lead Climbing”, Bakordor Umsong (Shillong College) in “Bouldering Speed Climbing” whereas in the Women’s category Kayleigh P Nongkynrih (All Saint’s Diocesan HS School) competed in “Bouldering.” In Sub Junior Girls category Hakadaembok Sungoh (Shechem English School Shangpung) competed in “Lead Climbing”. The entire trip was sponsored by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Meghalaya.
