Los Angeles: Pop star Mariah Carey says she developed gestational diabetes when she was pregnant with her twins.
The 42-year-old ‘Obsessed’ singer said that she had a difficult pregnancy with her six-month-old twins Moroccan and Monroe and suffered from different medical conditions which affected her health, reported Ace Showbiz.
“I was in a lot of pain because of the fact that they’re twins … I had a rough one … I just want people to be prepared that it can happen where you go through a rough time when you’re pregnant.
“I did develop gestational diabetes. I’m good with that now, I’m OK, but you just have to be careful, nutritionally,” she said.
Although she loves being a mother, Carey doesn’t think she and her husband Nick Cannon will have any more children because of how tough her pregnancy was.
“If God chooses to do that to me, then we’ll, that would happen, other than that, I don’t think we would try for that ever again. I really don’t know if I can make it through after what I went through, it was really tough,” she added. (PTI)
