JOWAI: In a bizarre incident, Umkiang police recovered a bodyless head of a new born baby from a place behind the Holy Cross Secondary School, Umkiang village Jaintia Hills district on Saturday afternoon.
At around 1:30 pm , some of the boarders from the school hostel saw the baby’s head and immediately informed the priest and the school authorities who later informed the police.
The baby’s head was taken to Khliehriat CHC for postmortem and a murder case was also registered at Khliehriat PS.
