SHILLONG: The State Security Commission (SSC) would meet for the second time on Monday. Official sources on Sunday informed that SSC is scheduled to meet on Monday after a gap of nearly three months, while adding that the Commission had not met even once after the appointment of N Ramachandran as the DGP of the State. As per the State Police Act, 2010, the SSC is supposed to meet every month, the sources informed. Earlier, Leader of Opposition in the State Assembly, Conrad K Sangma, had expressed disappointment over the SSC not meeting on a regular basis. He also expressed displeasure that the SSC had not bothered to meet despite the deteriorating law and order situation in Garo Hills.
