Maken on 2-day visit to State

SHILLONG: Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports (Independent Charge) Ajay Maken will attend the first convocation of the Youth Employability Skill (YES) Project of the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) at the Youth Hostel on December 10.

An NYKS official on Thursday informed that Maken has confirmed that he would attend the convocation ceremony. The YES project was launched keeping in view the Prime Minister’s vision to create 500 million certified and skilled persons by the year 2022.

Maken would also pay a visit to the Mentor Youth Club of Nongkrem village on December 11. It may be mentioned that the mentor youth club was an initiative launched by Maken himself.
