Anna watches movie, his first in 40 years

Chennai: Social activist and anti-corruption campaigner Anna Hazare, who is on his first visit to the city, on Sunday watched the preview of a film that speaks about Mahatma Gandhiji coming back alive to fight corruption in the society.

Anna, who arrived here from Bangalore this morning, was accorded a rousing reception at the airport by the members of the India Against Corruption (IAC), Chennai Chapter, after which he drove down straight to the preview theatre to watch the film.

The Social Activist spent more than one hour at the ‘Four Frames’ preview theatre where the special screening of the film ‘Mudhalvar Mahatma’ took place.

The Hindi version of the film titled ”Welcome Back Mahatma” was screened for members of Team Anna. The film, directed by Balakrishnan, speaks about Father of the Nation coming back alive to fight corruption in the society. (PTI)
