State Sports Policy by January

 Shillong: The much-awaited Meghalaya Sports and Youth Policy which was scheduled to be completed by November has been delayed till January next year.

Announcing this, Deputy Chief Minister In-Charge of Sports and Youth Affairs Bindo M Lanong said the department aims at completing the policy by January next year as there are some things left to be completed.

“The Sports policy is completed and the Youth policy is finalized but some adjustments are still required for which it has been delayed,” Lanong said. Lanong also saidthat suggestions from the State Youth Awardees and National Youth Awardees under the banner Meghalaya Youth Awardees’ Federation have also been incorporated.
