Shillong: MPCC working president Deborah C Marak has rebutted reports that MPCC president Friday Lyngdoh has asked the AICC to relieve him from the post of MPCC president due to his ill health.

In a clarification issued on Thursday, Marak said that so far there has been no official communication from Friday to the AICC asking him to relieve him from the position, nor has there been any indication, presumed or otherwise from the AICC on the matter.

She further clarified that Lyngdoh is still the MPCC president and she has only been officiating as president in view of his ill health.
