Social audit dates for Betasing, Selsella blocks announced

 TURA: The report on social audit of accounts of works undertaken by Selsella and Betasing blocks for National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme projects will be take place from Jan 9 and continue up to the end of the month, as informed by West Garo Hills administration.

The first audit is for Betasing Block on Monday at Damalgre village. It will again take place in Garobadha on Jan 10 and then move to Betasing Block headquarters on the 12th, the third part of the audit will be in Ampati town on Jan 13 and end on Jan 16th at Monabari.

For Selsella Block the first part of the social audit is going to be held at Garobadha Govt high school on January 23rd and then go to Bhaitbari Higher Secondary School on Jan 24th from there it will go to block headquarters in Selsella on Jan 25, at Hallidayganj PWD IB on Jan 27th and lastly at Chibinang Rubi Memorial girls school on Jan 30th.

All the concerned Area Employment Councils and the Village Employment councils (AECs/VECs) will have to provide records such as muster rolls, work orders, cashbooks, job cards, registers for proper scrutiny of all records of job implemented under the NREGS.

The social audit is conducted by NGOs and their findings will be tabled before the public and the AEC and VECs in presence of government officials of the district.
