SHILLONG: Meghalaya beat Manipur by six wickets to set up a virtual semifinal clash with Sikkim in the BCCI U-19 Associate and Affiliate Member’s Tournament in Raipur on Wednesday.
A win against Sikkim on Thursday will set up a final clash against hosts and defending champions Chattisgarh.
Earlier, Manipur won the toss and elected to bat first. Raj Biswa (3/25) struck thrice to while Anzar, Syllvestar and Rajiv took two wickets each to wrap up the Manipur innings for 151 in 41.2 overs.
In reply, Meghalaya srolled home in 33.3 overs losing only four wickets. Raj Biswa displayed allround brilliance scoring a fluent 92 while S Huydrom took two wickets for Manipur.
Sikkim outplay Meghalaya
Sikkim beat Meghalaya by six wickets in the BCCI Associate and Affiliate Members Senior Women’s Tournament in Shillong on Wednesday.
Put into bat by Sikkim, the state eves were restricted to 128 in 34.2 overs. Inreply, Sikkim reached the target in 33.2 overs at the cost of four wickets.
Earlier in the first match of the day, Manipur thrashed Arunachal by 187 runs.
