Ghatowar, Pala in NECCC

New Delhi: Union Minister Paban Singh Ghatowar and Union Minister of State Vincent H Pala, both Congress Ministers from the Northeast, were appointed as general secretaries in the reorganised North East Congress Co-ordination Committee (NECCC) to co-ordinate with the Centre and AICC respectively, committee chairman DD Lapang informed on Saturday.

Former Chief Minister of Nagaland SC Jamir was appointed as adviser and Mizoram Chief Minister Lal Thanwala is the new co-chairman, Lapang informed.

There are as many as 13 general secretaries including Ghatowar and Pala, three secretaries in charge of different states and other matters, one office secretary, one treasurer and one spokesperson in the new committee, Lapang informed.
