KOHIMA: While criticising his Manipur counterpart Okram Ibobi Singh over alleged discriminatory politics, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Saturday expressed confidence that Naga People’s Front (NPF) would play a role in the formation of the next government in Manipur.
According to NPF Central Office sources here on Sunday, in an NPF election rally organised at the Tangkhul Naga Long Ground in Ukhrul, the district headquarters of Manipur, Mr Rio accused Ibobi of indulging in discriminatory politics and denying the “Naga brothers” in Manipur their rights.
“If you allow him (Ibobi) to come to power, he would try to prevent me from meeting my Naga brothers,” he asserted, while urging the Nagas to make every effort to shun the Ibobi-led Congress Government in the forthcoming Assembly Elections. (UNI)
