SHILLONG: The State Government has intended to make Meghalaya a state without a single Below Poverty Line (BPL) family within ten years.
“We are working on that the line and State Government is working out details with the Planning Commission to obtain maximum support from the Centre to achieve this goal,” Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma said on Wednesday.
According to Dr Sangma, the Planning Commission is supporting the initiative and the response has been good so far.
