SHILLONG: Leader of Opposition in the State Assembly, Conrad Sangma, on Sunday criticized the State Government for announcing a short Budget session scheduled from March 9-23.

“Call for a short Budget session is not the right trend,” Sangma said.

Technically, the house will have 10 days of sitting during the period wherein which several important issues are to be discussed and debated.

“We will have the Governor’s Address besides many Cut Motions so I don’t think these ten days would be enough,” Sangma added.
