17 BRO men killed in accident

Shimla: 17 Border Roads Organisation (BRO) personnel were on Tuesday killed on the spot and two others injured seriously when the vehicle carrying them rolled 300 ft down into a gorge at Spillow, 330 km from here, police said.

The ill-fated vehicle was on its way from Pooh to Powari when the mishap took place on the India-Tibet National Highway. The injured have been rushed to the hospital at Pooh and Spillow, they said adding 16 bodies were recovered while one was trapped under the vehicle. (PTI)
