SHILLONG: The Chief Project Manager (CPM), Myntdu Leshka HE Project, Amlarem has expressed his shock over a news item which appeared in a section of the media regarding the senior staff who are missing from action at Leshka Project Office.

The CPM clarified that on February 14 at about 2pm some people came with camera and took some pictures of some of the rooms whose inmates were having lunch in the nearby canteen. However, during that time about 6 staff were in the office and saw the people taking the photograph.

Informing that the news report which states only 3 daily wagers were present is wrong and misleading he said that the O/o CPM does not deal with the public at large but with contractors and land owners and in many years of its functioning has not received such complaints.

The same office use to function late into evening hours since it has to cater to huge volume of official works related to the project of its size.
