Assam Police body felicitates personnel

Guwahati: The Assam Police Association on Saturday felicitated three of its personnel for special achievement in various forms of sports and fitness.

Among those felicitated was constable Abhijit Barua, who had set a new world record by running the longest distance barefoot in 24 hours last month.

His name is also under consideration for an entry in the World Book of Guinness Records.

The other two police personnel, who were felicitated are bodybuilder Niranjan Kumar and Ratneswar Gohain, who pulls vehicles with his fair.

Additional Director General of Police Kula Saikia and veteran sportsperson Pulin Das felicitated the personnel on behalf of the Assam Police Association. (UNI)
