MPYC to work for youth

SHILLONG: The new body of Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress (MPYC) has asserted that it will work for the welfare of youth of the State.

Talking to newsmen here on Thursday, the MPYC president Gabriel Wahlang said it will organise several programmes for the youth since the Government has designated 2012 as the ‘year of the youth’.

The new body also stated it will focus on different flagship programmes initiated by the Central government as well as the State government and promote the party’s interest among the youth.
