‘IMPHAL: Manipur Congress president Gaikhangamon Thursday said the decision of the Election Commission to conduct repoll in 67 polling stations on March 4 seemed to be made under pressure.
Speaking to the media at the Congress office here, Mr Gaikhangam said Congress, however, welcomed the decision and was prepared for the repoll.
The party made complaints within the stipulated time with proof of NSCN(IM) cadres casting votes for candidates they supported, he said, adding no repoll would be done in such polling stations.Earlier, ten political parties except Congress went to Delhi to meet ECI officials and after the meeting decision for repoll was taken.(UNI)
